VITA NOVA MASSAGE In clinic: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday
Moving well essentially means optimal function with little to no pain. We can help you reach optimal function by recovering from injury and preventing further injury. We can also assist with reducing pain and stiffness while increasing mobility and function.
Hands on therapy, assisted by dry needling techniques are our main treating modalities. For this to be effective a thorough clinical and movement assessment is undertaken. An individualised plan can then be created for our patient which may include gym based rehabilitation. We acknowledge that every patient has different priorities and are at different stages of preparation therefore we aim to tailor a program that accommodates your short and long term goals.
With two highly skilled physiotherapists on our team, we are dedicated to helping you move and perform at your best. Our therapists bring a wealth of experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and owner Brett, also has a particular interest in acute and chronic Vestibular Physiotherapy issues including BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo).
Whether you are a high performance athlete, a passionate cross fitter, a casual runner or just experiencing everyday aches and pains, Brett is dedicated to improving your performance and wellbeing.
Our team has a huge amount of experience working with, and treating high performing athletes including water polo Olympians, Australian running record holders, AFL footballers and Rugby Union players. Clients also include Rottnest Swim solo crossers, Busselton Ironman athletes and Ultra Marathon runners just to name a few!

Massage and gentle joint mobilisations are some of the manual techniques that can help alleviate pain by loosening stiff joints and tight muscles.
A tailored gym based rehabilitation program can assist with rebuilding strength and returning range of motion. Most importantly, preventing the problem from occurring again.

Firstly, we need to determine if it is Vertigo you are experiencing or if it is another form of dizziness. Often a GP will refer to Physiotherapy for treatment and management of this condition.
Fortunately, BPPV (the most common form of Vertigo) can be quite easily treated in most cases.
New injury, old injury?
We are all in agreement that prevention is best but fortunately our wealth of knowledge and on-site gym allows us to construct an appropriate gym based rehabilitation program.
This plan can include regular exercises, stretching and manual therapy to strengthen the body and improve flexibility

Brett's interest in running gait spiked when he himself transitioned from a solely water based athlete. Running is the most accessible form of exercise for many and sometimes small tweaks in your stance or swing can be all that's required.
